Serving you for over 40 years

Carolina Seasons Nursery is a ten-acre nursery nestled off of 903 North in Greenville, NC. They are dedicated to quality plant production while maintaining a diverse selection of plants and providing knowledgeable customer service. Owned and operated by Ken Stillwell and Andrea Pike, the nursery boasts five greenhouses and eleven cold frames. In early spring, the greenhouses are loaded with vegetable and herb plants, hanging baskets, and a broad selection of seasonal annuals, from the good old standbys to the newest introductions. Come fall, the nursery is beaming with colorful chrysanthemums, pansies, pumpkins, and gourds.

Carolina Seasons Nursery has everything for the new homeowner to the seasoned gardener. Over 50 types of perennials are grown each year, including a broad selection of groundcovers, hosta, daylilies, and ornamental grasses. Container-grown trees and shrubs make up the majority of the nursery’s production. Some of the most popular trees and shrubs grown are boxwood, holly, ligustrum, indian hawthorne, gardenia, crape myrtle, river birch, oak, and maple.

The nursery began over 30 years ago, in 1980. Ken Stillwell started rooting and growing azaleas in his backyard greenhouse. He sold them on spring weekends at the Pitt County Fairgrounds. Eventually, Ken began growing different types of trees and shrubs, and the nursery began to grow. In 2004, Andrea Pike began working at Carolina Seasons Nursery, bringing along her passion for flowers and gardening.

With hard work, perseverance, and a growing customer base, Ken and Andrea expanded the nursery, built an irrigation pond, added greenhouses, cold frames, and a five-acre growing field for trees and shrubs. Today, Carolina Seasons Nursery is a premier destination for plants and flowers. Whether you are shopping for foundation shrubs, shade trees, flowers for full sun, or hanging baskets for your porch, Carolina Seasons Nursery is the place to go.
